Euroinvestor

Objective : to democratize the financial markets

Euroinvestor, co-founded by Søren Alminde and his brother Jens Alminde, emerged as an innovative online financial portal in 1997.

Acknowledging the demand for convenient access to financial  information and analysis, the Alminde brothers created a platform that offered investors and traders real-time stock quotes, market news, and comprehensive financial data.

The primary objective of Euroinvestor was to democratize the financial markets, ensuring that individuals could acquire the knowledge to invest independently.

A crucial aspect of this mission was the Euroinvestor social network, which enabled peer-to-peer learning among investors, predating the emergence of social media platforms like Facebook.

Euroinvestor underwent an initial public offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq OMX Copenhagen stock exchange in 2007, lead by the Alminde brothers. 

In 2011, Saxo Bank made the decision to acquire Euroinvestor. However, in 2013, the Alminde brothers regained control of the company with the support of new investors. Eventually, Euroinvestor was sold to Berlingske Media.

Boliga

Objective : to democratize the real estate markets

Boliga was established in 2007 with a similar vision: to democratize the real estate markets by ensuring equal access to information for both buyers and sellers.

Prior to Boliga, individuals could only access the information that sellers chose to disclose in official property listings.

Boliga revolutionized this by offering users independent and current property listings, historical price data, and comprehensive market insights.

Exit Euroinvestor & Boliga

Following his exit from Euroinvestor and Boliga, Søren now serves as a mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs and invests in promising startups.

Now Unridden Ventures

Søren decided to create Unridden Ventures as a company fully focused on helping startups succeed. Unridden focuses mostly on very early stage startup teams who is not yet ready to talk to larger, later stage venture companies.

Unridden seeks to mature the companies and work closely with VC’s with the intention to create investment opportunities.
